Goin’ to Chicago!
by RyanHoye on Mar.14, 2010, under Apple, Tech
Well, I guess I should post this as I’m officially going now.
I’m headed to Chicago for some certified training for xSilva Lightspeed! This should get me Lightspeed 3.0 Certified and off to doing many an onsite for upgrades to 3.0 in Vancouver.
So if any of you out there know anything about Lightspeed and want to know more, shoot me an email, or leave a comment for me, and I’ll see about getting you in on the action. Else, if you want to start with the basics, check out the xSilva site.

Oakridge Mall

First, let me say that typing on an iPhone when the headphones are plugged in is mildly annoying if you like landscape typing. Secondly, i’m dissapointed in the lack of third party headphones with a mic and remote, even more dissapointed in the lack of 3g support for said items, since they’re only available on the 3gs.
/rant.
Thanksgiving had been ok this year, I made roast ham and garlic mashed potatoes last night, and was thouroughly satisfied with the end result. My roomate and I endevour with pie on the other hand was not as successful, unless you enjoy frozen pie, then it was delightful.
Today I’ve been exploring the Okaridge Mall, and have decided that it is an interesting mall, it reminds me of the renovated Market Mall in Calgary, only older, shiney-er and with less faux cowboys. My impromptu visit relates to a trip to the airport to pickup my girlfriend, with a side of dropping off some left overs for a friend.
I have discovered the new Oakridge Apple Store, and find that it has an odour. I’m not sure yet if it’s a bad odour or not, but I do find that this particular apple incarnation has a mild musk aroma. I would also place this musky aroma on the slighty woody or hay-like scale of the aroma spectrum. I find the pacific centre apple store to have a very metalic smell, something particularly a warm metalic smell.
I write this knowing that I am now comparing the smell of corresponding apple stores. I also now realize that I’m probably a little insane for noticing.
Ah well, at least we already knew that.
Well I suppose I should post this…
